Regarding Edgerunners: I didn't get it. Admittedly, my standards for watchable anime are extremely high; I've only watched more than one episode of maybe a dozen series ever. I thought this one was mediocre as hell.
Also, I have no idea why people pretended that Cyberpunk ever became a good game.
It’s “supposed” to be a sad story because there are no good stories in Night City.
Of course, that little tidbit is lost in the rest of the media franchise idealizing and celebrating the utter degeneration of all race and culture in the world.
I think people are just really enamored with the cyberpunk aesthetic and David was enough of a lovable punk for people to buy into his story. I think the show nailed the texture and glam of cyberpunk pretty well. The character designs are top notch. Studio Trigger is really good at creating instant chemistry between their characters and the audience as well.
Where they let the show down was the actual plot. It's sad, but I can't be that sad about characters that are knowingly steering themselves off a cliff.
CD Projekt Red announced in July 2025 that a stand-alone sequel series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, was in development, with most of the original creative team returning, and to be streamed on Netflix. It will feature a new story separate from the first series and a new cast of characters. Kai Ikarashi will direct the season, with Bartosz Sztybor serving as writer, producer, and showrunner, Ichigo Kanno as a character designer, and Masahiko Otsuka returning as scriptwriter.[44]
OP, I know it is common nowadays to post random clips and pics of media without giving any context, but if you read through the comments of every single one of those memes be they from anime or video games or whatever there will always be a ton of people pointing out they and others have no idea what the imagery is from. Then there will be good Samaritans who have their back and post the context, where the imagery arises from, and they too will point out the poster should have cited their source for the peanut's gallery. Please add the source material in case anyone else wants to look into it next time.
Exactly. Still don't know who she is, or why I should care about her or the source material she's from. Others are mentioning Cyberpunk, but I never looked into what that series is about.
David was a fucking retard for embedding himself with computerized and mechanical parts. We can get to “falling in love with someone who lies for a living” after addressing that.
What is this .jpg spam referencing and why do you assume others know the reference?
Probably because Cyberpunk: Edgerunners isn't exactly obscure.
But I don't know why OP thinks this was worth a thread.
The mind of a .jpg poster is inscrutable.
Too many layers of compression artifacts in there.

Because people rationalized that they weren't idiots for hyping it up for years and pre-ordering it since it finally became "good". It's just cope.

Curious to hear what series managed to make the cut. Any unsung gems in there?

More Netflix muscle chicks are on the way.
this is why we had downvotes

Not every post on the GamerGate forum can be about the jews.
? What does that have to do with what I posted? Look at your top comments. You should have made a post citing the source of the image.

I see Rebecca I click
Agreed, he chose wrong
Great character but at the end of the day she's still a loli.
