Impeachment will be the litmus test of who Trump was actually working for.
If he's just a well-meaning boomer idiot who destroyed Israel's last check on power in the region because "Israel has a right to exist," he'll end up impeached and in jail because Israel doesn't give a shit about their golems.
If he doesn't end up in jail, then yeah, he was their guy all along and all of the opposition was just a dog and pony show. Just like Bush and his admin aren't in jail, Obama and his admin aren't in jail, and Biden and his admin aren't in jail.
The only people who've actually gone to jail (Flynn, Navarro, Stone...) seem to be actual American patriots. And Steve Bannon; but after the Epstein stuff, the jury is kind of out on him.

That's pretty much my understanding as well. I'll give him 70% benefit of the doubt because he's been such a vocal proponent of actual American citizens and has actually suffered consequences for it, but there's still that 30% niggling doubt that we're just being played. Again.
