it takes more than one disaster to kill a company that spends a lot of time and money on PR, and the cyberpunk thing was pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. this will unfortunately sell well.
if we really want to see the downfall of these creatures we're going to have to offer the people an alternative, not just hope the snake decides to get bored and eat itself.
anyone with a mind, yeah. but the millions that buy games, that actually make all the billions for these big companies, operate on emotions, social pressure, and "hey i saw this new big thing on TV yesterday, looks like a cool game i'll buy." it's how sports games still sell and why FIFA is still a zillion-dollar game franchise. it's also why coca cola ads are just someone drinking it, going "ahh", and then the logo flashing up.
it takes long, repeated, dull failures for established, well-marketed brands to fall. that's how ubisoft died, but CDPR is still a big hitter for the time being.

Yeah. It takes minimim 3 titles imo. Just look at bethesda. People still waiting for tes6 after fo76 and starfield...
Will it though? I have not heard anyone speak positively about the trailer.

It needs to sell about ~20-25 million copies at full price to break even. It's basically guaranteed to flop.
Witcher 3 has sold 60 million, Cyberpunk (hasn't been out as long and had a truly awful launch) has sold 35 million.
i want these gay retards to fail too, but just wishing it won't make it happen. fate needs a little nudge.
And they somewhat redeemed theirselves with the phantom liberty dlc and other patches for the game.
