All these twitter additcts think they're living through the darkest times ever because they're mainlining corporate news.
A random day in 1356 probably had more human tragedy per capita than the eight days of 2026 combined.
It was sadder in 1356 though because any of the victims were White instead of having Star Wars cantina names.
This isn't the darkest time, hell you can KINDA argue 2020 was darker just because of the social impact locking everyone up for extended periods had on a generation.
They vacillate between "crime isn't going up, republicans are lying" and "there's another shooting every day".
It's an election year.
Honestly, I've seen almost nothing about the Salt Lake City shooting. It's got barely any more coverage than the Communist terror attack on Berlin's power grid.
That leads me to believe this reply to the tweet is probably accurate:

Honestly, when white people be wilin' it takes the form of neighbors shooting at each other after 5-10 years of daily hatred, and trailer trash brawling.
