The woman driving the car was killed. Left is screaming that this is murder. Trump is saying this is self-defense because the woman was trying to run over the cop with the car.
Personally, I dont believe she was trying to run over the cop, she was just trying to get away, but that's easy for me to say after replaying the video a dozen times. I think the ICE agent was probably justified in the moment in shooting.
If they didn't accelerate when a cop was in front of them I could believe that, they did though so I don't.
Even if her intent wasn’t to injure him the cop can still reasonably fear for his life and use deadly force so it’s kind of a moot point anyway.
It's reasonably likely she was paying attention to the ones she was struggling with through the window and wasn't looking ahead when she accelerated.
But that's a distinction without difference here. If she were being charged with attempted murder, her intent would have been more relevant.
She was just trying to get away while she was being apprehended and a cop was right in front of her vehicle.

You should start off asking "what happened before the video started? what did they cut out to pretend it's different than it is?"
Just from where the video starts looks like she drove into the middle of ice vehicles then stopped her car, deliberately trying to get in their way.
Who knows what else she was doing before this - following them around all day? How long was she harassing them before she tried to run them over.
It looks that way because that is what happened.
