Arch Warhammer was especially guilty of this. He played several hours and made multiple videos on the thesis that "the right needs to claim things like KCD2"... and he hadn't even gotten to the point in the game where he even met the black muslim or the jew.
Arch is an absolute cuck. He was on side scrollers a while back saying that he finds septum piercings attractive.
He is a textbook conservative. He keeps talking about the how we need to implement a "Tyranny of Neutrality" and force thing to be apolitical. This of course would be locking in the gains that leftism has made, the synthesis of the Hegelian dialectic.
Everyone on the right has forgotten that to get what you actually want you have to take a position to the extreme of that so then you can "compromise" back to the position you want. If someone wanted to compromise back to the 90's like Arch does, then he should be taking the position that sodomy laws, adultery laws and banning divorce need to be reinstated.
Finally, someone else gets it. You can’t start at the compromise position, that’s retarded. Bad deal making. Nobody else ever seems to get that and it’s infuriating.
Its because among honest people that works perfectly fine.
As a cultural example, look at haggling. In America it's viewed as kind quirky at best and downright rude at worst. Price tags exist for a reason, and they present absolute offer. That faith in what you might call "the sanctity of public notice" only exists in a high trust society. The notion of win-win. Of choosing option A in the prisoners dilemma.
If in your core of core you believe in those ideals, it's much harder to set them aside than it is for somebody who doesn't believe in them at all.
Its the same idea as the whole "politeness without capacity for violence is just begging"
Criminalizing adultery and heavily discouraging divorce is just the bare minimum for maintaining a functional civilization honestly.
