South Americans have worked in Texas for over a century, but they didn't take it over earlier because Americans would periodically shut down their job opportunities. In the last 40 years, however, Texas and California have been swamped. What changed? Free healthcare with Medicaid and the emergency room, free food, free income just for existing. Even free education with public school for their kids and easy college loans. Plus a neverending supply of wages because our ag sector insists illegals are the saviors of farming.
Then there's the massive giveaway of free capital to Indians to allow them to take over our service industry. If Indians had to face the same credit scrutiny as natives, we would be looking at a completely different picture. Another thing is that people are truly more psychologically comfortable in their native surroundings, even if that means a hole in the ground. You hear this occasionally when you talk to migrants.
