The Hulk Hogan cameo in gremlins two is one of my all time favorites. Up there with Harpo Marx on I Love Lucy.

Still a guilty pleasure though. Smart Gremlin is actually hilarious.
The way I heard it described to me was they wanted it to be Trump, but he didn't want all the jokes for decades after it, if the movie became popular.
I'd be worried that they'll fuck it up but they already fucked it up beyond recognition with Gremlins 2.

Major problem is that the original two movies referenced a lot of pop mono-culture in movies and TV. The internet has almost completely removed that. A few actors will appear as gremlin costumes but the jokes will have to be 2010s or earlier or it’ll just be pretty flat.
Did they get Joe Dante to direct this?
