Don't forget "Clamp" in Gremlins 2 was a Trump allegory. They had TDS way back in 1990.

Still a guilty pleasure though. Smart Gremlin is actually hilarious.

The way I heard it described to me was they wanted it to be Trump, but he didn't want all the jokes for decades after it, if the movie became popular.
