Every now and then I watch some of those travel youtube channels out of morbid curiosity. Whenever one of them goes to disney they are shocked at how expensive it is and how much they nickel and dime you.
You can only get away with that for so long before even the whales stop showing up. That doesn't even touch the dumpster fire that is their handling of Star Wars and other IPs. I was the biggest Star Wars fan in the world ten years ago. Now I don't even know what slop is coming out.

They are still fucked even if the whales keep coming. Their success in the past was entirely dependent on people passing their love of the company to their kids. Now that families are no longer going, it means no nostalgia in the future for today's kids, which means no whales in the future either.
A decade ago, they sold tomorrow to party it up today. It's tomorrow now and their bill is coming due.

Even if families were still taking their kids the effect wouldn't be the same. There's nothing nostalgic about getting diddled by a 400 pound man dressed as Tinkerbell.
Last one of those videos I watched they pointed out Kids weren't even their target market anymore. It was childless adults. They even sell alcohol at Disney World now apparently.
It's interesting since I think a few people have said Universal seems to be beating Disney left, right and center, though financially I don't know how they are doing or by how much they are beating them. ThatParkPlace seems to say so, but I don't know how reputable they are as a source, even if they're doing a fair bit of work cataloging the company's decline.
Seaworld on the other hand is pretty much in a similar disgraced state, if not even worse. They are defined by the entire Blackfish documentary at this point, and what little Defunctland has said about their parks doesn't paint any pretty picture of their current state at all.
It kind of reminds me of the last segment of Jenny Nicholson's video on the failed Star Wars LARP hotel, which was pretty much a huge dissection of the entire company. She said she felt it was for the better that the LARP hotel failed since she felt it was contributing to Disney's mindset of trying to make every little bit cost more.
I think there are several videos which have explained just how badly the company is doing both in the animation and theme park divisions. I do feel like it could be a while before serious signs of decline happen but there's a degree of interest in it in the same manner we have in Ubisoft's.
Really hope this is the year that George Lucas buys back LucasFilms from them for tree-fiddy and an expired Arby's coupon.
As far as the parks we as an extended family would go to either Disney World or Disneyland once a year. We haven't even bothered to check the prices since they went hard woke.

Not any adult. Adult women, Disney adults is mostly a female thing
Universal or Sea World are only slightly better, but still have their finances in check.

In Orlando they are a secondary big name park. There are more rides than fish now.

They really turned the flock of golden geese they had of IP into manure didn't they..
