They are still fucked even if the whales keep coming. Their success in the past was entirely dependent on people passing their love of the company to their kids. Now that families are no longer going, it means no nostalgia in the future for today's kids, which means no whales in the future either.
A decade ago, they sold tomorrow to party it up today. It's tomorrow now and their bill is coming due.
Even if families were still taking their kids the effect wouldn't be the same. There's nothing nostalgic about getting diddled by a 400 pound man dressed as Tinkerbell.
