See also, Baldur's Gate 1, 2, and Throne of Bhaal, vs every other game that uses Baldur's Gate in the title. I don't bother counting the expansion to BG1 as a separate thing since it's really just a lot of side quests while ToB literally ends the story and fits as a small if suitable third part of a trilogy.
Dark Alliance got a begrudging pass because it at least gave itself a subtitle to differentiate itself.
But yes, I will join you on the crusade to purge BG3 from history and restore search results to their proper state. God I hate what that game has wrought. As if Beamdog's blasphemies weren't enough...
Agreed. Now we have a bunch of Baldur's Gates fans...who've only ever played BG3. With its fakeness, its gayness, fanfic-tier characters, and contempt for its predecessors. And they will never even consider touching those predecessors because they're too old.

Not strictly true. I've seen some new blood trickling in to some boards asking for advice on how to get into the originals after they finish BG3. I'm glad to see they all get swamped with replies of "read the fucking manual".
Unironically 4 is good. It's different but on its own pretty damn good, probably my favorite idea of a "one room" horror game that no one has tried again until PT.
The only Silent Hill I liked was the OG on PS1. Wish I had kept my copy.
Silent Hill 2 was already part of the problem since it turned the game into "Psychotherapy Town" which the first game was emphatically NOT. Then the third went back to cult horror nightmare and the SH2 fans were mad about it not being about inner demons or trauma.
SH4 was an interesting experiment and then Homecoming went back to cult horror again and actually had pretty interesting ideas for the story but the gameplay was shit. Then downpour finally went back to being psychotherapy again but it was total garbage game and story.
Me with my meticulously modded copies of the 3D-era GTA titles (including ports of VCS and LCS!) when some faggot who's only ever played the console/mobile/defective editions of the game claims to be just as much of a fan of the series as I am
Fuck off corpowhore faggot. You've never played the opening of Vice City to Billie Jean. You've never been told to kill the Haitians. You've never spent hours manually tweaking broken .dff and .txd models to your personal liking. You've never seen CLEO scripts push San Andreas' engine to its absolute limits.
Any one here tried silent Hill f yet wonder if the screwed it up or not also silent Hill 4 is probably my favorite horror game of all time just from the atmosphere of the game but it also wasn't really a silent Hill game
SH4 is criminally underrated and hated at its time for being "too different", got criticized and sold poorly, causing Konami to giving the IP to soulless western studios for 2 decades. It was supposed to be a standalone game called "Room 302" but the higher-ups wanted to mix it with SH for marketing/sales. So they call it SH to sell better, then the game is hated for having the SH name.

That's me whenever I encounter someone who's such a "huge fan" of something they've never bothered to read the source material of.

SH4 has the best enemy designs in the series, they make the others look cute by comparison.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-Beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gates.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.
