Any one here tried silent Hill f yet wonder if the screwed it up or not also silent Hill 4 is probably my favorite horror game of all time just from the atmosphere of the game but it also wasn't really a silent Hill game
SH4 is criminally underrated and hated at its time for being "too different", got criticized and sold poorly, causing Konami to giving the IP to soulless western studios for 2 decades. It was supposed to be a standalone game called "Room 302" but the higher-ups wanted to mix it with SH for marketing/sales. So they call it SH to sell better, then the game is hated for having the SH name.
