See also, Baldur's Gate 1, 2, and Throne of Bhaal, vs every other game that uses Baldur's Gate in the title. I don't bother counting the expansion to BG1 as a separate thing since it's really just a lot of side quests while ToB literally ends the story and fits as a small if suitable third part of a trilogy.
Dark Alliance got a begrudging pass because it at least gave itself a subtitle to differentiate itself.
But yes, I will join you on the crusade to purge BG3 from history and restore search results to their proper state. God I hate what that game has wrought. As if Beamdog's blasphemies weren't enough...
Agreed. Now we have a bunch of Baldur's Gates fans...who've only ever played BG3. With its fakeness, its gayness, fanfic-tier characters, and contempt for its predecessors. And they will never even consider touching those predecessors because they're too old.
Not strictly true. I've seen some new blood trickling in to some boards asking for advice on how to get into the originals after they finish BG3. I'm glad to see they all get swamped with replies of "read the fucking manual".
