Indeed. I think that they dehumanized themselves when they became an invasive species that doesn't follow laws or act like functional, civilized human beings.

Well, don't worry. Although they're being caught here, they'll be humanely released in the wilds they came from and will be free to once again roam as they wish in their natural habitat.

Pokemon are generally speaking native to the region they're found in. Ones that aren't, change their very DNA makeup to better integrate into the new society (Galarian/Alolan breeds, etc). So yeah, not the perfect metaphor.
I frankly don't want them being humanized because they are foreign invaders. You can worry about us dehumanizing them once they're in their back in their own countries.
