Less a shitty view of men and more an acknowledgement that women are complete and utter shit at judging the quality of other men. Or worse; actively going for men whom act badly or exhibit bad behavior while thinking 'He'd never do it to ME' due to her delusional fantasies.
Time has slowly deformed my overall opinion on such things from 'men and women should be treated equally' to 'Repeal the fucking 19th, women should go straight from father to husband and have no authority in dictating how society is run'.
Conversely, society should allow men to take out the ones acting badly. But we don't, and everyone knows that doing so will get you lynched by society at-large. And so it goes.
The other user (a man) said that "men will always prey on [women]" which is a shitty take. Men aren't always going to act like that, and to think so is pretty misandrist
But women are not a good judge of men who don't act like this and men who do.
I recall a thread on reddit a while back(I know, I know) that was basically a woman asking men - 'How do ya'll just KNOW?' It was in reference to seeing women get with men who would be bad for them, all the men in their life saying as such, the woman pish-poshing them, only to have said men be proved right.
Men know men, and can judge accordingly. Women don't know men, and can't. Up until a certain point in society, it was fair and sensible for women to rely on the men in their life(Or barring that, older women who had seen enough and experienced enough) to make that judgment call or atleast seriously consider said advice, and take their licks when they turned out to be wrong.
Nowadays, however, strong whaman don't need no men in their lives. So they contort and flip themselves into all sorts of mental pretzels to try and figure out a way of vetting men by themselves when said judgment call used to be outsourced to men who knew better.
So women devolve all the way down to 'ALL men act like this' - or, if you want to be brutal, all men she picks are like that. Or my favorite one, 'I have to treat all men like rapists, you just don't know'.
Hence why I point out that this is more on women than men.
To make the implication that men know men and are such a better judge of character is laughable. There are countless examples of men making the wrong assertions of another man's character.
Tell me, have you seriously never thought a man to be decent only to learn he wasn't? Are you going to say that you always know a good man from a bad one?
If you're honest, and say no, not always, then you can see here where the judgement can fail. You're human, you have faults. Women are human, they have faults. You take the time to notice the failures and try and make that be the end all be all, when you conveniently ignore the countless success stories of women finding good men early on.
So women devolve all the way down to 'ALL men act like this'
Hmm...saying "all x act like x" is devolving huh? I would agree with this. So why would you turn around and say "all women act like x"? Is that not also devolving?
Not really? Women aren't even capable of actual violence for the most part.
Even if you were to ignore psychological drivers of violence (rooted genetically so this isnt a nurture thing) you'd STILL have men committing most of the crime, because if a woman says "give me your cash or I'll break your leg" the liklihood of that bejng a credible threat approaches zero.
Well, you've already given 2% as a possibility, so no need for me to even make my own point.
But the implication that men will always prey on women is that men are inherently unsafe to be around because they will always be predators. It's a shitty view of men because it ignores the recognition of the majority of men who aren't predators.
Damn that's a pretty shitty view of men
9 out of 10 men can be cool and the 1 will rape. Eventually after playing Russian roulette for years women run into the 1.
I'm not even opposed to women having the freedom to take risks as long as they assume the responsibility for them, but so many of them don't.
So then why are you saying "men are always going to prey on them" if it's only 1 out of 10?
Who else is it going to be? Women? Animals?
I don't think you're applying the right logic here.
The implication of the statement "men are always going to prey on them" is that men will always be predators, and that men aren't safe to be around.

How is this on women?

You would agree that men are always going to prey on women?
How would the inverse even be possible?
Genuinely how. Women aren't even dangerous without male support in 98% of situations.
Well, you've already given 2% as a possibility, so no need for me to even make my own point.
