This has been the case for years now, but it still boggles my mind. Gaming is an overwhelmingly male hobby. 90% of the people playing enthusiast level video games are male. Yet the clear majority of protagonists in these products are female.
New resident evil? Female protagonist.
New Ghost of Tsushima? Female protagonist.
New Hollow Knight? Female protagonist.
New Silent Hill? Female protagonist.
New World of Warcraft expansion? Female protagonist.
And that’s just the biggest trailers of the night. Gay ass indie is almost entirely female (or queer coded) characters.
Is there another industry that hates its own core customer base this much?
If you think it’s just gaming you’re in for a rough ride, see while “conservatives” are crying about men in women’s sports, there are now female football “coaches”, “players”, “refs”, and announcers (who can’t even name the plays being run and spend most of the time talking about how the players feel). It’s so brazenly bad they put a d3 female “football player” (who played one play and made zero contact) in an ad with top college players. The NFL had a commercial run trying to sell the nfl to Mexicans through flag football and it was a woman juking out pro players who were all inept. Sports currently hates their fan base so much that they will gleefully pander to people who will never even play or understand the sport better than “look at me I wear certain colors of overpriced clothes!”. Meanwhile those same “fans” are the ones demanding contact sports get neutered into the ground, because the sport doesn’t actually matter to them, wearing certain colors and jumping for attention does.
I could see the NFL having a female kicker one day and watch the hatred the player gets who tackles her when a kick is blocked or something

No female kicker will ever make a 65 yard field goal, or pin the ball into the endzone for a touchback. They just do not have the size and strength to do it, even though leg strength is one area they come closest to matching male performance. At the level of NFL kickers, the different still matters.
No argument from me but with the way they are pushing women in the NFL I think they would love to tout a female player
Coaches value performance more than looking "stylish", to use a Dirty Harry movie term. Women have never been barred from the NFL, they just have never been good enough to make a team.

There is. There's been multiple female NHL players throughout its history. Every time a female player becomes even almost as good as the worst pro male player, they get scooped up for the press benefit. Which was... twice in it's century-long history.

Oh sports are definitely under attack, but they will always enjoy a maximum woke threshold thanks to the inherent meritocracy of athletic competition. No amount of leftist indoctrination will ever completely counteract the fact that female athletes cannot compete directly with men. The NFL can give every support and administrative job in the league to women, but the games themselves will still be unassailable, irrefutable testaments to the physical superiority of men.
