This has been the case for years now, but it still boggles my mind. Gaming is an overwhelmingly male hobby. 90% of the people playing enthusiast level video games are male. Yet the clear majority of protagonists in these products are female.
New resident evil? Female protagonist.
New Ghost of Tsushima? Female protagonist.
New Hollow Knight? Female protagonist.
New Silent Hill? Female protagonist.
New World of Warcraft expansion? Female protagonist.
And that’s just the biggest trailers of the night. Gay ass indie is almost entirely female (or queer coded) characters.
Is there another industry that hates its own core customer base this much?
Objects in motion tend to stay in motion. There is still a couple of years of DEI propaganda in the pipeline in both Hollywood and in gaming. The studios are all facing the choice between cutting their losses and canceling everything (what they should do) and falling for the sunk cost fallacy and shitting them all out on the market to recoup any money they can (what they will do).
They still haven't learned that their reputation is worth something too, which is why they will all make choice 2. They think we will come crawling back as soon as they get around to serving us again, as if their brand isn't now radioactive.
This is all part of the plan. The only reason its being pulled back is cover to push red Jew stuff instead of pure blue jew stuff.
The “objects in motion” concept is an interesting one when applied to social justice movements.
Certainly, there was a time when blacks, for instance, suffered unfair treatment. This resulted in a movement to reduce and eventually eliminate such abuse.
But such movements invariably accrue a tremendous amount of momentum, expressed in jobs, money, power, influence, etc., and none of that shit magically goes away once the movement ostensibly achieves its goal of “equality under the law”. So there’s a very clear motivation and impetus to continue the movement by any means necessary, including rapid mission creep into “equity”.
Which is to say: equality movements, left to fester, inevitably evolve into supremacy or Marxist movements. The highly funded and staffed “body” of a social justice movement will remain “in motion”, progressing to insanity, until someone or something acts in opposition to it. There is no reality in which a paid SJW announces “mission complete” and voluntarily gives up her cushy make-work salary to pursue legitimately productive work.
And as a special bonus problem, the people who do endeavor to push against such runaway movements will be, at the start, disproportionately “deplorable”. It’s not like legitimately malicious racists - and I cringe to even use the word - are going to sit on the sidelines while everyday people begin to wake up to the evil of modern day “civil rights”. The bigots are going to participate. And then leftists will use the fallacy of association to demonize anyone who opposes them. “You’re standing shoulder to shoulder with Nazis, so you’re automatically the bad guy.”
The only responses to this line of attack are “that’s not an argument” and “so what”.

The downstream effect of equal rights movement has been the utter destruction of the blank slate theory of human development. Blacks and Whites are not the same, genetically or in any other way, and it is past time for the civil rights experiment to be over and done with.
The concept of inertia truly does apply to much more than just physics, and the world makes much more sense when you look at it in that frame. I think we all understand this subconsciously, hence the use of "pendulum" as a common metaphor for the tug-of-war across the aisle, where a physical pendulum is driven by inertia.
Piggybacking on your second point, they hired all those true believers as "consultants" who are convinced now more than ever the way to remove icky incel fascist toxic males is to keep doubling down on #girlboss propaganda (no surprise there, and with predictable results). The counter-momentum is going to take a while to get going.
I think the goal is to normalize feminist media by starving the children of any alternatives. None of these initiatives are going to win over the current or past generations. It’s all a “DLC horse armor” gambit to raise a generation of boys who have never known a marketplace that actively caters to them.

Major studios make money offf of every release no matter how much it makes at the boxoffice. They will let their money laundering projects come out and flop and then move on to the next progressive point.
