The 13% meme is in regards to 13% of the whole population of the USA and how that translates to the national crime stats, specifically 50% committed.
This is 22%/26% of just the Somali/Eritrean pop in a country.
This is worse because the USA crime stats don't often include raw numbers to tell you just how big the 50% is made up of. It could be as little as 2 people committing crimes and 1 of them is black. It's not, but it's that kind of misrepresentation that can happen with stats.
A slightly more accurate way of putting it would be 100 people commit crime in the USA a year, 50 are black. But this is still nowhere near the actual value.
That's still going to be just a drop in the ocean of the 13% that is somewhere between 39 million and 45.5 million, assuming either 300 or 350 million for the total USA pop.
Unless 20-22 million blacks are in prison in the USA it doesn't match the story being mentioned here.
The number of Somali and Eritreans in prison isn't going to be that high since the total pops for either group won't be, and neither is the total pop of Scotland, which is probably around 5.5 million. But the fact that over a 1/5 Somali and over 1/4 Eritrean are in prison is telling of something else entirely.
I'm pretty sure those two groups aren't 13% of the population over there, not even 1.3%... so it's the same issue, just many times worse. And many times more obvious too.
The figure I always see floated is 20ish % of black men(just men) have a felony conviction, not that are currently incarcerated.
And as far as I could find it is a myth spread to justify calling jailing people for murder/rape/home invasion racist.
When I looked into it it was only true for Cali and Mass. Texas was 4% and most other states around the same. I think a few others were in the double digits. All of the states they like to malign for racism were under 10%.
Blacks in America overwhelming they are born there, the Somalis and Eritreans in the UK are not born in the UK they can and should be deported but the government won´t deport them.
