Koreans are laughing about the fact that Sanseito (which is advertised as the Japanese "far right") wants to remove American troops from Japan while the "far right' in Korea want to keep American troops in South Korea (media.kotakuinaction2.win)

Japan can trust themselves to probably govern correctly without American military interference.

Korea are so all over the place they're not sure their own commies won't immediately take over.

It's the classic freedom versus security question.

Japan has the luxury to pursue independence, so is willing to give up some "security"...which is largely just chains and regulations.

South Korea is in a more precarious situation, and so values the security more than the freedom.

Simply put, South Korea benefits more from American bases than Japan does.

I mean, if they want to be a bit more 'imperial' again and take control of their military force, that's ok.

Just keep America as an ally this time with free use of ports for their navy. Use it as an opportunity to start a massive arms build up like South Korea did.

I do remember Japan is getting far with railguns just a power supply issue. Be funny if they can work that out so when China attacks, they can hit them with those.

America is only good as an ally if they shake off their own chains from israel. As long as America is chained to israel, America can never be a good ally.

That too, i just want Japan to HEAVILY invest in their military, if ANY country can make Gundams and an AI NOT wanting to kill us, just commies, it'll probably be them!

I don't know about AI that doesn't want to kill us, Yanderes are a pretty popular character type in Japanese media and you just know that they'll give all their weapons control AI cute anime girl avatars.

Think about HOW they represent Americans in their media, there's a good shot they'd make Liberty Prime before America does!

Plus while yes they do have quite a few yanderes in media, a lot of their AI in media are more like 2B, trying to preserve humanity almost like an older child caring for an elderly parent.

When America nuked Jaoan and they had jews write the constitution, this was all before israel was esrablished properly. The rot runs far deeper than just israel.

Not worth the security when the security is pushing gay and diversity stuff onto your country. You already lost your country before the battle begin once you start to let in a mass of rapefugees and immigants.

Having troops from a foreign nation on your land is the ultimate act of cuckage.

Nah the ultimate act is letting browns groom your kids like in UK and pushing racemix propaganda on tv and ads to brainwash White woman to betray White man and mudshark. This is a pandemic in both us and uk

given the current geopolitical situation, removing US troops means China takeover. It's a terrible idea unless that's what you want.

China isn't invading Japan.

they'd very much like to, they're just focused on Taiwan for now. if the United States military backs out of japan, I could see china refocusing on japan.

Everyone agrees that Taiwan is part of China. Even the US accepts the One China policy. Taiwan has historically been part of China.

Very different. This is just the manufacturing of consent for endless worldwide imperialism. The troops in Germany are also there to stop Russher.

Taiwan doesn't. more specifically, Taiwan thinks of themselves as the old China in exile while the CCP are a new China subverted by communism.

agreed, but the fact remains that Japan's military is neutered thanks to the United States. Kicking the us out leaves them incredibly vulnerable. Japan would need to rebuild their military first, then kick the US out. fat chance the US would go along with that.

Makes no sense. Taiwan has not even declared independence. Taiwan believes that it's one country. So whether Taiwan takes the mainland (not very likely anymore), or vice versa, that's like Russia taking his own land back in Ukraine, and not like "Rusher conquers Madrid".

You're probably right, but this would most likely result in Israel Iran-Lebanon-Yemen-Syria style bullying rather than conquest.

this assumes Taiwan == China == CCP, which is obviously not correct. the CCP has successfully subverted china, and has owned China for a long time. when anyone talks about China nowadays, they are talking about CCP controlled China. Taiwan rejects the CCP, which means they reject China as it is known today.

this assumes Taiwan == China

As it happens, do you know what the official name of Taiwan is? You might be confusing a few things here: both states agree on the territorial extent of 'China', and even the US agrees that there is 'One China'. Not two. Not China and Taiwan. Because it has historically been part of China, and Taiwan hasn't declared independence.

Ergo, Taiwan is in no way analogous to Japan. China would probably like to annex Taiwan, or have a Hong Kong-style system of "one country, two systems" (though it wrecked its reputation by tightening its grip on Hong Kong), but it would probably just like to have its boot on Japan's neck like the US does on the American hemisphere.

Taiwan rejects the CCP, which means they reject China as it is known today.

They think they're the real China. They don't want to be ruled by the CCP. But they're not arguing that Taiwan is separate from China.
