agreed, but the fact remains that Japan's military is neutered thanks to the United States. Kicking the us out leaves them incredibly vulnerable. Japan would need to rebuild their military first, then kick the US out. fat chance the US would go along with that.
given the current geopolitical situation, removing US troops means China takeover. It's a terrible idea unless that's what you want.
