Trump is literally demanding unconditional surrender from Iran, and is using the term "we" when describing the military situation.

I guess Iran and Israel aren't at war after all. They're just lobbing missiles and drones at each other but have no actual boots on the ground in enemy territory.

Houthis firing on your ships = an act of war. Justifies self-defense.
Iran sitting around = not an act of war. Does not justify a war of aggression.
They only attacked our ships because we were supporting Israel against Gaza. They stopped when Israel and Hamas had an active ceasefire.
We also lost three F/A-18s which illustrates the risks in engaging, even if it's not "boots on the ground."

Defending the country doing the attacking by giving them bombs, planes, logistics, information, protection while that country is blowing ppl up in and of itself is an act of war. Stop being a warpig your frothing at the mouth.

I understand your frustration, but this point is kind of splitting hairs. Assuming we do commit to doing the actual bombing raids, that probably means pilots in bombers, which carries a risk of them being shot down and killed or captured. (even if we have air dominance, it's not necessarily 100% all the time) I consider that entering the war. I hope it's only a quick strike and not a prolonged campaign. I wouldn't care much if it was only missile and drone attacks.
We have refueling planes supporting Israeli operated American made f35s. We are blowing up missiles. We are providing missiles for Israel along with information about who to attack. We are providing ammo. There are no hairs to split We are at war and trump lied to the American ppl
You may have misread my comment. I'm simply saying that a conclusion of "Boots aren't on the ground" = "we aren't at war" is splitting hairs, apropos of nothing else. Beyond the other things you mentioned this would be a particularly insignificant distinction if you take into account what the American people who voted for Trump care about. (our soldiers not getting killed)
