Reddit is shit for a lot of other reasons now regardless of retarded mods, rules, and other shit. They keep redoing the site UI and killing off features that previously saw a lot of use, or simply worked better.
Their video embeds were atrocious. I simply gave up trying to watch any embedded vids there because the little blue orb would move along the play bar but the actual display wouldn't fucking change!
The Friends Tab no longer exists.
Opening images to new browsers can't be done without third party apps because attempting to do so just opens the same page again but now displaying the image you didn't want displayed that way in the first place!
Collapsing comment chains is like trying to throw invisible darts at an invisible board at times because sometimes clicking in alignment with a username works, but sometimes it doesn't!
Most of the changes were probably done because various retards thought it would "drive engagement" and make the site more money, which it probably never did ever anyway. The only reason it doesn't get supplanted in the same way DIGG did is because startups are strangled now so it's all but impossible without "fuck you money", servers that can within withstand DDOS abuse inside a sun, and other preventative measures that will tell various legislators to go pound sand. In other words like many pirate sites they end up being needing hosted on .su domains in Russia.
Did they bring back .compact? Because that's what finally stopped me using it, and I haven't bothered to check if it was rolled back so damage done by the stupid idea regardless.
Haha, something similar to me while using the steam overlay to look up some answers and it's usually a reddit post depending on obscurity, but now it doesn't load the page and leaves a message saying to login (which of course doesn't/won't work). So now I go with the next suggestion and it won't be long before reddit loses even more traffic from other users in the same situation.
Honestly one of the worst things to happen to the Internet. A lot like twitter videos. You think they could make a video hosting service like imgur so ppl can link directly to vids but no, everything is in service of the subreddit format and forces you to go to their shitty communities to watch.

The UIs and interface are so bad that if OLD did not exist, I would never go back there again.
Meant to mention that, didn't they kill old.reddit and other things? I'm sure I saw a thread about it here some time ago.
They tried to, got a riot, brought it back and it still works.

Not to mention that as of late I keep getting a message that blocks me when I visit the new website because it thinks I'm a VPN.
Blocking any possible VPN traffic is the only way they can actually keep people banned. They only want trannies using the site, fuck em.

The new board designs were probably designed to minimize server loads or something. Almost all of the comments are collapsed.
