I went and followed her account links. The person has posted her art since at least 2017, and assets of it have turned up in Marathon's alpha, including her own art logo.
The strength of the original Marathon games came from the sheer level of depth the writing went to, including not giving a single shit if you ever read or found half of it.
That's a kind of game making passion that has long since left the industry, especially in any major company. There was zero chance this current Marathon would ever be anything but a skeleton wearing decaying skin of a nostalgic classic.
Every fuck up after has only proved that fact. The original game was so proud of itself it wouldn't have dreamed of stealing art because that was one less piece they got to fucking make for themselves!
To add even more fun to the mix, Dualshockers put out a article about it (now pulled) and made up a quote from the the artist that Bungies was stealing from.
They do this shit because they damn well know the can drain the original author of any resources long before they’d ever have to pay. It should be something the government would assist in enforcing, but going after one of their pet corporations won’t happen.
hi i'm her girlfriend and i've made this account specifically to tell you that we've been looking into legal action for A LONG TIME and have thus held off on saying anything about this publicly.
Glyphli is a troon, and if one half of the "lesbian" relationship is a man, and they're both on Bluesky, well...

This is the 3rd or 4th time Bungie has taken art from others and put it in their games.
Edit: Found a thread on /r pcgaming that was discussing it. ( https://old.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/1knh5cz/antireal_on_bluesky_the_marathon_alpha_released/ ) user ACupOJoe compiled a list of at least 3 other occasions. As well, Thor of Pirate Software had an ongoing list as well. I can't seem to find that one right now.

"Journalists'" really are just absolute trash.
If it's someone on Bluesky they deserve whatever happens to them.

From one of the replies, a fag named glyphli:
