Why they so afraid of a boycott?

Is it how the other apartheid state was brought down?

Do you have a better source? This is all just legalese and is, if I'm reading correctly, referencing and amending other bills that aren't even linked.

‘‘(j) VIOLATIONS OF SECTION 8(a).—Whoever knowingly violates or conspires to or attempts to violate any provision of section 8(a) or any regulation, order, or license issued thereunder shall be fined in accordance with section 206 of the International Emergency Economic 12 Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1705).’’

Tells me nothing, other than that there's a fine. Also, no mention of prison in the linked text, although of course prison can be a punishment if you don't pay some fines.

But, yeah, do you have any other sources. Don't feel like wading through all that. Thanks.

I do not have a better source than the website of the government who is attempting to pass the law.

But I'm saying I'm not seeing what you're talking about.

Where is the $1,000,000 fine or 20 years in prison?

It's literally telling you exactly where to look.

"50 U.S.C 1705"

That's Capter 50 of the "United States Title Code" Section 1705. Which is just this:

It has a wikipedia page and Google A.I. gives a quick synopsis if you Google

If I'm understanding things correctly, big if, the original bill The International Emergency Economic Powers Act was passed in the 70s to give the president broad authority to finance emergency situations.

This proposed bill would essentially state that any entity receiving money from the fed, say a contractor, who engaged in boycotts against Israel would loss the contract and be charged with a crime.

Has anyone ever violated this law?

Because I feel like to get the contract you'd have to agree to not engage in divestment anyways.

This is just an in your face flex by the AIPAC crowd to tell us, the dumb cattle, who owns our government. It couldn't be any more obvious.

There are probably better ways to go.about it, but these anti-BDS laws only actually affect leftists, so I'm not bothered one bit by them.

Leftists are funded by israel. This law is just to make sure the golem doesn't turn on them like in their own fairy tales

Nice, you said "golem" which is a Jewish word which means you're really smart and know a lot about what you're talking about.

What's hilarious is how narrowly scoped the "boycott" actually was:

"Congress— opposes the United Nations Human Rights Council resolution of March 24, 2016, which urges countries to pressure their own companies to divest from, or break contracts with, Israel, and calls for the creation of a ‘‘blacklist’’ of companies that either operate, or have business relations with entities that operate, beyond Israel’s 1949 Armistice lines, including East Jerusalem; "

Seriously. It's just a UN Resolution against isreal (that passed somehow). And it's only targeting companies that are setup in isreal outside of their original borders. Literally just companies operating on stolen land.

What a thin skinned group of faggots are in charge of that backwoods apartheid shithold.

No way this would survive the Supreme Court.
