Singapore is a poor example as its largely controlled by China at this point. Their sovereignty is eroding and in a few decades the Han Chinese will dominate society there.
Its so over.
Thailand is a better example. Un-colonized. Un-bowed. Un-broken. Maintains strict cultural identity despite enormous external pressures from all directions.
Isn't Singapore mostly ethnic Han Chinese to begin with? Unless you are talking about Mainland China Chinese that would be a different thing. Singaporian local Chinese (mostly Hokkien and Cantonese ) that have been there for generations are different from mainland Chinese
Singapore's problem isn't that its authoritarian its that it doesn't close its borders enough. Its not nationalistic enough and is more like a business city than anything else. . Plenty of authoritarian countries in history have closed borders. Most countries throughout history were run by authoritarian monachies with closed borders and survived just fine for thousands of years.
Well for them it was either the authoritarian right or the authoritarian left. The authoritarian left are winning because the authoritarian right has lost.
No, the autoritarian left has been winning because Germans got forcefully 're-educated' by the 'good guys' after WW2. Ironically enough the good guys have been re-educating themselves too and are partially far worse off than Germany. Like Britain.
Thats what i meant. The "nazis" were authoritarian right wing(no matter how much some people might want to deny it. They were culturally right wing) And when they lost the authoritarian left wing took over.
Oh? Is it all of history o'clock again?
Lol
Literally every 40 years. They can't help themselves.

A certain painter wrote a book on that.
