Isn't Singapore mostly ethnic Han Chinese to begin with? Unless you are talking about Mainland China Chinese that would be a different thing. Singaporian local Chinese (mostly Hokkien and Cantonese ) that have been there for generations are different from mainland Chinese

Well, I guess I consider Cantonese totally separate and not a subgroup. Mainland China is indeed taking over though..
