You should be able to block the element with uBlock Origin. There's a point and click element picker that can be useful, and if not they have a good community that should be able to help you with a custom filter. I browse with dozens of UBO filters that I've built up over the last 7-8 years, and almost all of them block shit like this on YouTube to keep the site somewhat useable.
Yeah it's a charity thing. I've seen it a couple of times when certain channels or groups of channels would decide to fund raise for something. Not on every video though, just theirs.
Yeah, the only time I've seen something similar to that is when a particular channel is doing a charity drive. 99% sure that this is the result of the channel not anything youtube is doing.
Dude, it's 2025, learn to adblock.
I run three adblocks. It's not an ad, it's an element within the site like the "subscriptions" column.
Adblocks only work on third-part ads. This is YouTube integrating this into their UI itself.
I'll accept your apology now.

Indeed.
What's a Covid misinformation warning?
But "ad" block only works on ads - it's in the name! Also anti-fa is against fascism, they literally can't be fascists.
I don't think I've seen ads for last... 7 years in youtube by using brave browser. Or use private browser to watch youtube with ad block.

Interesting. I know YouTube does "rolling" features, so not everyone will experience the same things. It finally went away.
Times like this I'm glad I use invidious.
Though I don't remember seeing anything like that the few times I went to YouTube directly.
Been having only issues with any instance recently, just getting blocked out. Might be cuz I run a VPN, still...
The only working instance that I use nowadays is inv.nadeko.net
You have generate some sort of tokens now: https://github.com/iv-org/invidious/issues/4947
Never heard of it but I'll look into it. Thanks.
I think yours is because the particular channel partnered with the ORG

I've not seen it. And I just use Waterfox with a basic NoScript.
No, I use Unhook to remove almost all of Youtube's web page, except the video it's self.
WOW! This is amazing. Thanks!
