Might be hedging their bets that if GTA 6 flops thanks to DEI, they have GTA V to fall back on.
Either that or they might continue online into GTA 6 somehow, I know 2k will be EXTREMELY hesitant to shut down that cash cow as it's still producing milk..
The chance of GTA 6 flopping due to DEI specific is basically zero. There is too much force behind its train and too many people obsessed with the series to care unless it becomes 80% Woke lectures for hours at a time. Unfortunate but the way it is.
Its much more likely to flop due to being far too taxing technically for a majority of systems, even current gen consoles that people play GTA on mostly, and be basically unplayable due to lag and bugs. RD2 showed how much they love unnecessary systems in their game for no useful reason.
There are like 5 games that wont fail. GTA, minecraft, roblox, fortnite and cod. Itll take multiple shitty releases or dei releases to possibly.. possibly kill. Look at stupid cod. Dei and shitty, still chugging along.
It takes a lot to kill legacy, cultural phenonemon games.
Not just legacy, but games bought by the most reliable demographics in gaming.
Niggers/South Americans and teenage boys. These are the guys who buy every sports game, every CoD, and play GTAO. It takes a lot to shake these off, even if the game is garbage they will still keep buying.
It really only happens if a viable competitor is around to truly challenge them when they stumble, as CoD and Battlefield both learned about the other.
