Looks like the pilot slammed the plane into the runway causing the landing gear to fail catastrophically.

Ground effect gets screwy in crosswinds, the windward side has higher pressure so you have to roll into it a bit. But he lost the wind right at the end and the right gear collapsed.
If the gear had held he probably would have been alright.
Crosswind landings are one of the first things you learn to do when learning to fly.
Snow on the ground amplifies this too. Irregular drifts can play havoc with the eddies, eh?
Plus it makes the location of the actual ground more difficult to see. Like landing a floatplane on a lake.
Maybe he was just Australian?
Maybe he was a navy pilot :

Someone else posted either on here or T_D that the entire crew were women.
I believe that’s speculation- the airline was woke as fuck and boasted of 100% female crews.
But they have refused to reveal who was flying (also suspicious)

Sleuths believe the first officer was a woman :

Her brother said she only started flying in January
Remind me again, which airlines are still safe to fly?
Every flight is a risk. Just like every time you get into a car. :/
It's a dangerous world out there! That's why I stay at home.
