I blame homestuck more
That and the Tumblr environment in which it rose to prominence. That whole ecosystem is the primordial breeding ground for these internet based ailments.
I used to think of tumblr as containment, but now I know it was more like an incubator. The rest of the world was not sufficiently inoculated against the manipulative narcissism of LGBTQ subversion, so all of social media was quickly infiltrated and overwhelmed after tumblr shut down.
Tumblr is literally where words like "Woke" were used as unironic terms before getting repurposed and was the breeding ground for Intersectionality, which is what Woke is currently used to describe.
They were evolving before Homestuck but Homestuck definitely attracted lots of proto-troons and vulnerable folks and gave the elder troons a community to infect.
i went to ax in 2014 and they were everywhere. an entire hallway of gray people.
I still don't understand how what happened with Homestuck, happened with Homestuck.
I remember reading the guy's stuff with... whatever the hell that thing was that preceded Homestuck. It was silly nonsense with silly animations, and the idea was it was made-up as it went along from community input (but obviously that stopped at some point).
Homestuck was another take on the concept but something about like, real-life being actually 'The Sims' or something?
And that... turned into fat trannies?
