I took this from a friend who claimed to be against pseudo science and always looking for facts. He even goes to clubs where they take apart concepts to show how dumb something is. Only he hasn't realized their entire leadership has given right leaning ideas to tear apart for a decade now. Another friend is a 9/11 truther, and claims all the evidence for Government waist is made up.
They can't believe it was that bad this entire time. So, evil rethuglicans and stuff. It can't be that the sausage hasn't been made for decades and it's just a bunch of people living off the idea that sausage is being made, while secretly buying it from someone else.
Worse, you find out your local butcher, who is one of the most popular guys in town and is one of your best friends and is also the town's minister - instead of buying pork he's been feeding everyone sausages made out of rats. For decades... until some crazy hobo that everyone hates started yelling "it's made of rats!" and burned the butcher shop down. You know nobody else around you is going to like hearing the news either. You have two options.
String your good friend up in the streets.
Just pretend the whole thing never happened.
