Clearly a lack of doctors in Germany since they need all the Middle East's. How much you wanna bet they reject white guys from med school?
If it's anything like the UK, they likely showered scholarships and preferential admissions on women, only for the new female doctors to quit after a few years (muh work-life balance) and leave all the hospitals in a lurch.
That's a lot of the US too. I dunno if hospitals are in a lurch. They always claim to be. But everyone's a specialist. So they have a shortage of primary care doctors who coincidentally get paid basically shit.
Hospitals are "meant" to run at full capacity (not too many open beds) or they'll lose money. The docs make extra money for meeting vaccine quotas so not sure how accurate their reported salaries are.
