So call it what it is - corporatism, not capitalism. It's the former that underpins globalist influence, and by nature is antithetical to a free-market economy - something that in my experience is important to most of those on the right.
Yes. To pretend our corporate oligarchy has any relation to free capitalism is nothing but base propaganda. Most of the problems of corporate overreach aren't stopped by government regulation, they're enabled by it in the first place.
And internationally the idea of free trade was always a joke. You cannot have onesided free trade, and other nations have never stopped trying to take advantage of the US through fuckery and tariffs - doing the same in return is not only justifiable but necessary to protect our own economy.

There's no one who becomes a National Socialist after being a Libertarian. I think that when a corporation acts as a government (e.g. BlackRock pushing the woke ideology), they should forfeit their rights to a free market and be subject to socialism and heavy regulation.
Capitalism is simply a means to an end, the end being a fair distribution of resources proportionate to each individual's net positive contribution to a cooperative society.
Capitalism provides an approximation of that through money. But like many approximations, it's imperfect and prone to drift. That drift does mean it needs recalibration occasionally, and sometimes that recalibration can look like the kind of political "recalibration" old empires go through once they drift too far from the ideals that made them great.
I am committed to that the end goal as an ideal, and committed to capitalism as the means only insomuch as it is the best fitting approximation we've made so far. If a (proven) better approximation emerges instead of a re-zeroing and calibration, I'm willing to consider it.
