I live in one of the most liberal areas of the country. Haven't run the numbers, but I know it's up there. Most of my clients are very progressive. So tomorrow I'll be interacting with people who have Harris signs in their yard. I can't wait. I'll keep my cool, and just nod and look neutral and act professional, but I expect at least some level of seething.
I survived four years of Biden/Harris, I deserve this.
"Land doesn't vote. People do."
*wins popular vote*
"REEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Kek!
Oh yeah he's still at 51% and Harris like 3 points behind.
Yeah I live near Seattle. I might have to file a complaint about all those pure soy tears from progressives making their way into the Sound. Won’t someone think of the wildlife.
All the tears might cause flood water. Might want to invest on a nice dingy with a massive Trump Won flag.
I am looking forward to the "everything will be alright, here is a struggle session 'meeting' we will have for those butthurt about losing" email from the cunt in HR so I can laugh at them.
Employers HR and universities litterally having mourning days over Trump winning last time was the creepiest proof that institutions have been captured by Democrats and the media causing actual medical TDS.
My HR Director texted me last night. She said I have to wear red for work.
(There are quite a few people wearing red today. We are the secret society!)
Are you going to go to anyone in a red at work and whisper in their ear 'hail maga' lol.
I don't have to (but I'd like to!). A nod and a smile is all that is needed!
Why red?
Republican red (In the middle of suburban (Deep Blue) Chicago)
Nice!
I'm in a similar predicament. I'm gonna be a smug fuck lol
If you can whistle, I dare you to whistle 'Living in America' at work today lol
Dance into the place like James Brown in Rocky IV. Lol
When dems win they act like kids who jump up and down yelling "we won! We.won! Ha!"
When Independents and Republicans win we just grin softly and say "Daddy told you."
Same, and one of those clients was saying how voting was one of their favorite things to do.
"I love Democracy."
Literally this time: won the popular vote.
It's glorious.
I play TCGs with a bunch of liberals and I woke up to our local Discord being full of people throwing a fit over the results. Imma keep my goddamn mouth shut at the tournament this week. I don't need someone reaching over the table and punching me in the middle of a card game because orange man bad.
Oh man, I remember the day after he won the first time. Everyone around me was mad or devastated, and I had the biggest shit eating grin on me face. I was the only one productive that day lol.
I have one client who is an open alex Jones fan, gonna find an excuse to call her today. She's usually bummed out so this ought to cheer her up.
Did you catch any of Alex Jones on Crowder yesterday? It was pretty wild.
I think we're having a company wide Zoom sometime later today to let the angry hwyte women vent. Should be a hoot.
If the building isn't burned down first during the inevitable riots and looting that is.
/Berkeley
Edit: It was a legit hoot. Honest to goodness primal screams ensued. Pretty sure the CEO had to quickly unplug his camera so people wouldn't see and hear him cackling with amusement. I'm guessing he's making a list.
Godspeed.
Do keep us in the loop. I work with a bunch of leftists too, but I likely won't see them for a couple weeks. Also, I'm in Canada, but obviously this will be top of mind for everyone anyway.
Being in Canada never stopped leftists from melting down over Trump.
They probably hate Trump more north of the border.
Objectively, our economy benefited here in Quebec, and will benefit again, just from fuel prices going down. But we're among the most terminally Trump Derranged. Our largest news media ( TVA ) has one political reporter often in DC to cover US politics, and he got to ask one question at the White House.
I facepalmed at the usual loaded attack on Trump baked into the question. You'd think he was a CNN NPC. Shameful moment. People in Québec who get their news from the mainstream media only ever saw the 95% anti-Trump "official" coverage full of lies and misrepresentations. Like "Joe Biden is sharp as a tack and Harris is well-spoken and competent" lunacy.
I don't really expect anything report-worthy, but if I'm wrong I'll definitely report back.
My attitude was "Fuck 'em, give me my money." They needed me more than I needed them.
Tempting, but I prefer to get along, and not cause unnecessary conflict. I don't talk politics at work, although I'll listen to others if they feel the need to bitch.
same here. it's going to be great!
Universities "mourning days" incomming.
I expect Seattle to have terrible traffic due to protests.
So, the usual?
I guess 8 years makes it the usual now...
Start laying the groundwork to get rid of that trash.
