I listened to two other podcasts with Vance, and I came away with an even better opinion of him than I already had. And I was one of his few strong supporters here (of the final candidates, he seemed the best).
Like most politicians, I still don't trust him...but, yeah, he's amazing in these interviews, and it certainly does make me more willing to extend the benefit of the doubt. He's an incredible politician. Hopefully he's for real, and is a good guy too. Seems like it, but you can never tell.
Agreed. I had my issues, but I was rooting for him too. He's delivered, and then some. A lot of some.
He's about the same age as I am and comes from a similar background as I do, so he is the most relatable and "normal" politician I have ever seen in my life.
If he's not genuine he's an extremely skilled fake.
That's what politics is all about.
Also came out of Rogan with a better opinion of him as a person, but a lesser chance he'll be the 2028 nominee.
He just doesn't grab you by the ear like Trump does. He's a perfect choice for VP though and that makes me think Trump has learned some valuable lessens from all the hurdles they've thrown down before him.
Trump is a once in a generation political talent. No one is like Trump, and if you compare anyone to Trump you will be disappointed.
As the old joke goes, "I don't have to outrun the bear: I just have to outrun you". As things are today he has good odds against the other people he'd be running against in 2028.
We talking about the guy who directly pointed out that society is being run by childless cat ladies?
He's toned himself down not to outshine Trump, and appear more amicable to normies.
He still comes off a bit as a dork who's trying to be personable. Most prominently on display with his (somewhat forced) laugh.
But if they win he'll have 4 years of being in the spotlight to hone that more.
Maybe, but there's some tough competition. Remember Cruz wasn't far behind Trump and that was before his beard.
There's going to be a primary and nice sensible guy may not win over ruthless masterdebator.
A lot will depend on who the dems are going to pick.
I don't think it was Cruz's charisma that made him almost equal Trump, but the mistrust that people had over Trump - the former Democrat - and the doubts about his election chances.
I'm torn. I like DeSantis for his ruthless competence, but I like Vance's anti-neoconism. Neither of them grab you by the ear as you say though.
That said, while we like Trump-like characters, I think a lot of people like the boring kind of politician.
Just finished listening to it.
Great interview. Especially the number of times Rogan brought up subjects that Vance knew nothing about (hemp, psychedelics, shooters on SSRIs, etc) and Vance came off as genuinely interested in learning about them.
5 1/2 million views already. For a VP candidate.
There is no fucking way that Kamala/Walz is anywhere near this level of popularity. I think if there were no ballot harvesting or other shenanigans going on, Kamala pulls sub 50 million votes.
If they weren't idiots, Waltz would go on Rogan. Waltz isn't actually that stupid, and tries to come off as a "friendly highschool coach".
However, it seems like Harris is asking him to play as her Joe Biden, a nonthreatening bumbling fool.
I'm probably the primary one, because it seems to be that he is my spirit animal.
Your spirit animal is just another human man? Lmao.
Well, I thought it would be Charizard, but clearly JD Vance is the better choice.
Vance isn't 4x weak to rock too
Everyone is 4x weak to rock if you throw it hard enough.
Vance has the potential to be a political avatar for men born between 1982-1990. Has first-mover advantage, if he skills up a bit more on charisma he's there.
So are his kids catholic or Hindu? I'm curious.
You know there are quite a few Christians in India.
There are, but not Vance's wife. He said that he was raised Protestant, then became an atheist, and then a few years ago converted to Catholicism.
And?
Nothing says she is not a Christian
Except they said they are raising their kids jointly Hindu and catholic. So ya that's saying it basically.
This guy is crazy charismatic, I only did the first 40 mins or so at the gym, but he has a likability that will be devastating for lefties because he can win over the Rohan’s and moderates.
I didn't like him at first, but he's since won me over.
Just like Trump did in 2016.
Something about him is definitely off. His deep ties with Peter Thiel (member of the Bilderburg steering committee and gov surveillance king with Palantir) and the big tech billionaires pushing him along with his support of crypto. The guy gives me the creeps.
Bad news for you because I'm pretty sure Scored is run by Planatir or other Thiel group.
That's where all the inline ads on PdW come from anyway.
Six Degrees of Separation
Yeah
Both Trump and Vance? Impressive.
When he started talking about having converted to Catholicism five years back I immediately knew this was a politician at heart.
He also 'casually' mentioned his military service.
He was probably angling for a political career for some time now. Don't expect too much from him. This is a man who will 'compromise' to get ahead.
My favorite part was about how they are winning the normal gay guy vote because trannies are the real homophobes
Vance is phenomenal in this Joe Rogan interview.
He will most likely be the GOP nominee for President in 2028 and I will be completely happy about this
I doubt if anyone like DeSantis or Youngkin would have a shot against this guy
Vance is one of the most relatable people I have ever seen in politics
He is wicked smart, an effective communicator and has been handpicked by Trump to be his successor.
I don't see anyone beating him in a GOP primary if Trump wins this upcoming election.
DeSantis was supported by the same money as Jeb! The GOPe will do everything it can to subvert and restore control of the Republican party from MAGA populism.
And Vance has Thiel money and backing network behind him, so yes we will get zionism and likely unlimited legal immigration and limitless Palanyir spying under current direction.
Just here to point it out so when it comes to fruition you/others won’t be blindsided and/or move goalposts on how “based” some things are.
Everybody on the left who said he was weird and every retard on the right who started out saying "peter thiel much? talmudic network BAP shill rofl" or raged out because he has an Indian wife needs to eat a lot of shit for a long time.
A lot of people seemed to be under the impression that he needed to divorce his wife and abandon his children once he became "based". Which is frankly nonsensical.
Even granting that his marriage was a poor decision made based on faulty beliefs he held in the past, he chose to enter into that sacred union, and he has a duty to God to honor his vow. That this is probably not easy is his cross to bear.
