Third Trump assassination attempt thwarted when armed man arrested outside Coachella rally, sheriff says
A third assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump was thwarted at the last minute Saturday when local cops stopped a man armed with guns and fake passes outside his rally at Coachella …
The would-be assassin has a degree in creative writing from UCLA, wears thick-rimmed hipster glasses, has pronouns in his LinkedIn profile, and supposedly he has far-right leanings? Something's off here.
It's almost like...no...it couldn't be...maybe...maybe the media is lying to us?!
Sounds more and more like this wasn't actually one and the sheriff and media are trying make shit up.
Yup.
Might actually for once have been a "far right" sovereign citizen-type...and just there to see Trump, with "illegal" guns (2A, bitches) and no/false ID.
Yea, keep in mind that this is California. Anything above a 10 round magazine is "an illegal high capacity magazine".
I used to live there, don't remind me.
The only wrench in the story is the "fake" VIP/press passes he had on him.
Which, if they exist at all, do look quite suspicious in any form going to one of these events that armed.
Everything else though points elsewhere, so I want to still lean on the sheriff being a loser but that's not a piece of evidence you can discount entirely.
As I said in another comment, if he really is extremely antigovernment like some are claiming, he might not have believed in ID, and so needed to make fake passes.
It's still early, so we'll just have to wait and see.
This should be the standard that everyone holds to; however, it's just not the case. The 24 hour news cycle, instant access to information and dumbshit shows like CSI and Law & Order have raised unreasonable expectations about how evidence is both gathered and processed.
The sovereign citizen/auditor types have started printing their own press pass. Their theory seems to be that, somehow, the press are a higher class above normal people and that a press pass gets them in anywhere.
It does not.
Makes sense and sounds like the type of nonsense thinking and actions they would take.
And I can see it working on minor day to day life situations pretty consistently, but this is absolutely not that.
"If it writes like a duck, dresses like a duck, and talks like a duck, it's clearly a far-right chud and totally not another far-left quack, bigot!"
Seems to be a common thread in Blue Anon twitter:
"Every single assassin has been a far-right Republican."
Only the sheriff who caught him (an extremely woke BLM guy) is calling it assassination, while the Trump team themselves is saying it wasn't one and that a guy was just arrested nearby without issue for having guns in his car. Which considering its Cali doesn't say much, but would fit with the easy release on bail after if that's all they had him on.
Everyone combing his internet presence is showing its mountains of Boomer level very pro-Trump stuff and a bit of schizo nonsense that is still pro-Trump. Which doesn't add up with any of these actions in the slightest.
So either the Feds set up an actual long spanning backstory for one of their guys (and forgot to actually train him for the event itself), or this more than just "another one tried!" I'm already leaning towards it being a politics minded sheriff trying to either get famous or start a "conversation" about how awesome Cali's gun control laws are by preventing this.
I've been getting mixed results when trying to learn more about the sheriff. I saw the video where he did the kneel for BLM, which is definitely a red-flag of course, but he was also an Oath Keeper, anti-covid lockdown, and Trump supporter?
His statements on being an Oath Keeper are contradictory and basically nonsense. He got caught on their mailing list after a big hack and then gave multiple different reasons for why. But by his own words, he just read their website, never went to any meetings, and seemed to only like them for being "Pro-Cop."
Same with his anti-lockdown. He is part of a group saying that local sheriffs have authority over state and federal law and that its his job to prevent tyranny from it. While admirable on its face, it seems to be entirely self-serving to grant himself more power.
Cali Sheriffs are elected, so most of this seems to be a generic sheriff power tripping to make himself The Law but still being electable in Cali. And the development of this story really pushes me further into thinking he blew all this up for his own political clout.
Ah, yeah that would make sense. If that's the case then this story is pretty much a nothingburger.
Aren't all Sheriffs elected?
Not all of them. A lot of counties across the nation either appoint one or, in very small rural areas, just give it to the most fitting person.
But most do (in theory, the fact that very few ever lose re-election and the political power they wield means the election is mostly a farce), so the point was that he is still a politician and thereby anything attributed to his personality is suspect as is any statements he makes.
This is getting absurd.
You'd think the failed attempts would discourage these retards. One guy got his brains blown out, another was captured after being shot at by SS.
I guess that's why they're called useful idiots, though. There's an endless stream of these brainlets. All you need to do is convince one to give it the ol' college try again.
What is with these old people? I could at least understand it a bit more if it was young people. They're actively in the indoctrination machine, they're more active and aggressive in aggregate (at least in theory), and they do most of the school shootings, not to mention gang shootings.
It's really weird that we keep seeing these older shooters and attempted assassins. Is it just that the propaganda has been at work longer with them? That they remember the "good old days?" What?
It seems to just inspire copycats, or new attempts by the deep state, whichever you prefer.
Also, while I by no means advocate for any assassination, it's hard to look at the first retard and, if you are so inclined, think that you could do it better. The unthinkable became thinkable, particularly how blase the elites reacted to it.
The one that made me realize how possible and easy it would be (and, no, not going to do, not saying others should), was the Lee Zeldin thing.
I think the "attacker" was treated unfairly, and it wasn't really anything...but some drunk or otherwise impaired dude just climbed up on stage and started yelling and getting in his face, and some shoving occurred, or whatever.
Zeldin was running for governor of NY, and had a slim but reasonable shot...and some dude just got up on stage and they got physical. If that dude had been an assassin, and not a drunk...Zeldin was fucking done. Would have been ridiculously easy.
The ones who were retarded when they were young don't magically become less unhinged as they age. Leftist terrorism is not new - the weather underground (one of the leaders of which was Obama's mentor) were doing that shit more effectively than modern goons generations ago.
I'm not saying the act is new, just that terrorism is often a young man's game. At least for the people on the ground.
Apparently he has a history of republican activism and supporting Trump, which makes this really weird. Was he undercover the whole time, or did he suddenly have a break from reality?
It's always hard to tell when this stuff just breaks.
It's possible he's just a weirdo, but not a would be assassin.
If he really is "far right" or whatever, it's in character to have weapons, and to want to see Trump. He could just be a bit off, and had fake passes, and got caught up in a search, but didn't plan to use the weapons.
A thought just occurred to me. If he's as anti-government as I'm seeing some comments claiming (again, too early to tell), perhaps he didn't believe in IDs, and so couldn't get a real pass, thus explaining the fake ID and fake pass. Just a thought.
Or maybe it wasn't an assassination attempt. It's not out of the question.
True, we just have the sheriff's speculation so far.
Someone on T_D wrote the sheriff is a lefty pro-BLMer. No way he'd try to paint an actual Trump-supporter in a bad way. /s
I figure you have to be some combination of willing to end your life and either hungry for infamy or truly devoted to a political cause to be willing to do any high profile assassination at all, so that’s not necessarily a discouragement for the right kind of guy. For the failed attempts, maybe the second one should have been a warning that security stepped up their game, but if anything, the first one would have had me thinking “wow, this guy’s security is way worse than I would have assumed!”
Very true. That first one was utterly absurd.
Point is, though, after the second, attempted assassination of Trump seems to have clearly become a life/death sentence. Sure, maybe some people would take that offer, but it should still be discouraging to most. But, like I said...it only takes one and, whether failure or success, we get yet another news story.
Fucking psychos.
"they searched the vehicle and discovered a cache of fake passports and driver’s licenses" But he was only brought up on weapons charges? Is the forged federal and state documents not a crime?
Why should anyone help the left kill Trump if the dems are just going to turn around and label you as far-right?
