I heard the latest shit they did was this , having AC Shadows merch with a broken tori gate which many there relate to the atom bombings.
Between ordinary citizens and Yakuza, I don't know who'd manage to beat them first if they DID come, can safely say French Japanese relations are at an all time low right now.
At first I thought it was just pure ignorance and Westerncentrism that kept them thinking they could get away with all their nonsense in this game. Standard Ubisoft retardation.
But at the rate of direct and very difficult to pull off by accident fuckups they have, this feels deliberate. Like they are actively trying to accomplish some task through sheer offense against the Japs.
At this point, they're more racist to Japanese than FDR, with none of the justifications.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was pulled by Ubisoft management realising how racist the team behind AC Shadows is and if they were left to go to Japan they'd end up running around Tokyo as Johnny Somali clones.
It's as if someone at Ubisoft is deliberately trying to get the Japanese people's attention and warn them of how toxic western media is becoming by being as offensive as possible. Like writing a message on a bomb casing they know will fail to detonate.
They are dead serious. Yes, they will expect you to do the same to your ideas. Yes, this was supposed to prime your youth to integrate refugees. They literally want you to imagine a gay PoC as a national savior. Save yourselves.
I've had the same sense, but it might be less specifically anti-Japanese and more the typical need to "own the chuds" that regressives have. They can't help themselves and always double-down.
Its not even owning the Chuds. Its going out of their way to find new insidious fuck ups to embroil themselves with further.
Because its not like they are announcing these things and boasting about it, which is what they would do if they were trying to own someone (like gay black samurai was). Its constant little under the radar controversies which only a really keen eye could even point out.
It’s deliberate. The stockholders are accusing the family in charge of Ubisoft of sabotaging the company stock to sell cheaper to Tencent. At this point, it seems to be true.
First I've heard of that, but I wouldn't be surprised
They were on a mission to take subversion of Japan one step further.
If The Powers That Be are so retarded that they picked Ubisoft for that task, then I feel pretty safe because clearly they are also too incompetent to complete their own missions.
The good little Proglodytes brainwashed in schools do it out of their own zealous desire to promote Intersectional Race Marxism.
The ESG scores and targeted government grants seals the deal : Feminist, black-worshipping, antinationalist propaganda everywhere.
Can anyone tell me why the fuck he insists on using that vtuber bs? He covers some good new and doesn't ramble too much. Well, a little. But the model takes up half of the fucking screen and it contributes nothing to the video. It just makes me not want to watch his shit.
You could go audio only and only listen? What can I say there are some guys that like to mess with other guys by having an anime girl model.
It's like if you had a trap friend but they have a very masculine deep voice, that kinda forcing everyone to double take can be very amusing.
Oh man. You just reminded me of Venture Brothers. Now I'm just sad...
Does the Yakuza care? Aren't they just their version of mafia?
I mean they know to manage PR really well.
Whenever there's a national disaster, they cease rival conflicts and help the affected areas, getting the public to more tolerate them.
Can you imagine the brownie points they'd get beating up racist French game devs shitting on their culture and history. It'd be only less points than killing pedos.
They really don't care. But it'd be pretty damn funny if some mid-level boss is a gamer and was offended by this enough to go after Ubisoft.
They also got a lot of national pride so when shit like this happens or foreigners come and "johnny somali" the locals, Yakuza and Yakuza adjacent would coerce and intimidate an apology out of the moron to garner public sentiment.
Over a video game? I doubt it, I think Ubisoft is just afraid of otakus causing a scene at their events more than the Yakuza.
Not that I think anyone should go test, but I imagine that’s overstated because as far as I know, they didn’t do anything about Johnny Somali, who you’re rightly using as the poster-boy for disruptive foreigner.
Nice
