I don’t think this is a captured media thing. As I understand it, it’s a cultural thing where “Asian” covers the Middle East, India, and maybe parts of Southeast Asia (?) and then the term for, say, Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, etc. that the US tends to picture when we hear “Asian” was “Oriental.” But then “Oriental” became offensive, so now they get carved out as “East Asian.”
That’s more of a vague impression from reading some UK news and literature, though. I could be incorrect.
its not a cultural thing. Older British people will tell you that they used to call these people by their name "pakistani" for example until people started calling it "racist" so they started saying "Asian"
So he's being thrown in jail for ten gorillian years for his online hate posting too right? "He was warned to expect a substantial custodial sentence", I'll believe it when I see it, the judges who have been attacking the English for saying what's right are pedo protecting jews who only hate Englishmen and Europeans.
I too will pay attention to this as there are folks over there who said things online and gotten 2-3 years. This guy didn't do just that he was inciting and duplicitous in his actions.
One thing I learned in recent months is how quickly they dole out sentencing that is multiple years, it be like Mega-City One over there. So this time next week. I'm guessing 18 months. Surprised if its over 36.
