Today's "1984"-type totalitarianism is more dangerous than the "tanks and torture"-type of totalitarianism in the past. There is no need to rig elections or overthrow governments if the ruling party, the media, and state-sponsored NGOs control the information environment. (twitter.com)

It's not more dangerous.

We're less dangerous. On the whole the right still refuses to admit the necessity of violence. That's how the left can get away with so many petty tyrannies and repulsive perversions.

Because they aren't punished for it.

There's a necessity for justice.

That's how you punish people legitimately.

Incorrect. While there is a necessity for justice, you won't get it without violently dislodging the left from their entrenched and illegitimately obtained power.

without violently dislodging the left

They're using money to beat you. If you took all their money this would be over.

Hmm and how might we do that? Oh yeah with guns.

If that worked it would have been done by now.

It hasn't been done precisely because it would work. They're still terrified from the last time it happened, and they've spent decades propagandizing the planet out of that fear.

Justice is a concept that transcends manmade institutions. Natural justice.

When all your institutions are dead or compromised, you can't rely on them for justice, not even - in fact, especially - the ones with 'Justice' capitalised in their title.

1984

"Brazil" is right there!

I know it isn't as recognizable, and the redundancy would just confuse people, but it's amazing how we have a dystopia called Brazil...and now a dystopia called Brazil.

Democracy™ is great. All you have to do is manufacture consensus and make the plebs think it's all their idea by bombarding them with The Message™. When everything inevitably go to shit, just blame them for "voting" for it. Then, have the voters fight amongst themselves, while the people actually in charge watch and laugh at the chimpout.

In the US it's really the "unit rule." If the individual electoral college members were allowed to vote with their district instead of their state we'd have a functioning federal government.

This kind of thing is always done by people, and those people are who should feel the brunt of the pushback. This kind of crap won't stop until the people doing it are made to stop it.

Oh no the dirty demon worshipping Bolsheviks will call me names. Well guess I'll stop buying guns and ammo with every spare dollar of my paycheck.

It's not like we aren't going to have to kill them all anyway dude.

They will, they can't stop it. There's no big organized conspiracy, they don't have a mailing list or a call list where they send out instructions, they rely in cultists acting on their own so even if one does get caught they have plausible deniability. The cultists receive instructions from the news, from the Narrative: <insert enemy> is Literally Hitler, who is Satan in libdem mythos, and therefore it's okay to do literally anything to stop him, up to and including murdering him or his supporters. That narrative hasn't stopped (it can't be, either, most in the media are clueless cultists as well!), so there will be rigging.
