Apparently an average PFA score is top quality marks for a Secret Service agent… (media.kotakuinaction2.win)

You don't need physical fitness sitting in office documenting fake bills

The Secret Service is mostly dudes working on counterfeiting crimes not protecting the president.

You'd like to think that the presidential detail has stricter standards.

Maybe this is just me, but if I was the president I would want my body guards to be enhanced to the point of being peak human ability. Juice them up with a testosterone regimen and have on staff dietitians, endocrinologists, and everything else needed to make them operating at the highest possible level.

The fact that I can easily crush these standards, and I’m just a normal guy is sad.

Guys, I feel like our government might actually be kind of a pushover now.

This is just insane, imagine thinking being able to do 50 pushups and sit-ups (not sure if on a two minute timer like military standard) is top athletic marks… I’m vastly out of shape by my military standards (at least cardio wise) and could easily manage a 7 average score tomorrow.

What kind of scores does the military require? I'd hope SS (at least the executive protection detail) are held to at least the military standard.

Non combat roles for men you can get away with 50/50 and under 13 for a 1.5 mile as an 18 year old guy. Combat roles/ ops is 80+/80+ and ~10 for a 1.5 realistically. Combat role usually is about 15-20 chin ups minimum too. But that’s just the “PFA” portion, which doesn’t account for swimming and beach runs. 4 miles in boots on wet sand is worse than any PFA I’ve done.

The only physically fit feds are FBI and CIA glowies. They need to be in case they have to abort their glow-op and skedaddle to the extraction site.

The top tier is barely passing marks for non combat soldiers...

Damn. I should identify as a woman and apply for the secret service.

I wonder if gender dysphoria is protected for secret service agents like it is currently in the military.

Not a bad idea. You'd probably get out of doing any real work as well.

I don't really exercise, outside of work. Pretty sure I could pass the SS physical.

That's fucking absurd.

Also, is that it, or just one portion? No real strength test? You should have to lift and drag some serious sandbags, or something, at the very least. What if your ward gets fucking shot, or gets knocked unconscious in a struggle, or something?

SS not only has to be able to move, but also be able to lift. A few pushups doesn't cut it.

Why can't the president appoint the best and the brightest?
