I also found "spot the woman" spectacularly difficult for the Google doodle of the day.
Is that Caitlin Clark a tranny? I keep wondering why I hear so much about her/it. What is so interesting?
She scored the most points in college basketball history. That includes the male athletes. So the media is treating her like she is on par with the boys. She's not, of course, but the media is hyping her up.
Plus her boyfriend is a hyped baseball prospect that throws over 100 mph and got recently called up. It's all manufactured but there's your 101.
That's the gymnast, Olivia Dunne.
Oh, gymthot. Even I know of gymthot.
The Paige Spiranac of gymnastics, as it were...
You aren't excited about gym barbie? WELL HERE'S BRICKLOADS OF GYM BARBIE CONTENT EVERY SINGLE DAY
It does feel like that, honestly...
Although I guess that is arguably preferable to the Sam Kerr or Taylor Swift content that gets forced down our throats every day, over here...
God am I ever sick of both of those women. For different reasons, but nonetheless.
My bad. Sorry folks
She had a broken-mechanic inflated-scoring area (AKA a three-point line).
Pete Maravich didn't.
Advantage: Pistol.
Plus Pistol played against dudes. It's not the same level of competition.
But is the boyfriend black..? Surely that's the question, though I'm sure we already know the answer, lol...
Nope. Caitlin Clark's boyfriend is a white guy who works for the Indiana Pacers named Connor McCaffrey.
Well then, that is quite a step up from the average WNBA player. Credit where credit's due - a straight, white girl dating a white dude!
That definitely seems to be the exception (at WNBA level, but still), rather than the norm.
She scored the most points playing against other women LOL. Talk about padding the numbers during garbage time.
It’s corporate media manufacturing hype to convince normies to watch women’s sports because the traditional sports market is tapped out.
I don't think so, though I really don't understand why even some people here think she is above-average attractiveness...
Hell, even Angel Reese in that article is more attractive, imho.
Then again, I don't particularly care if the individual in question is white. Though if we are limiting the pool to "white female basketball players", I can think of at least 5 Australian players who are more attractive than Clark, imho...
Oh dear.
Anyways, I think a little bit of the attention to Clark has to do with her [some may say lack of] personality. She is supposedly unselfish, on and off the court. She makes for a decent role model by today's standards.
Ha, yeah, I get your point (I think).
I guess my equivalent would be any of these three women's rugby league players:
Teagan Berry (https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4g5zTmyiGl/)
Jasmin Strange
or Taliah Fuimaono, who I think may be one of the hottest female athletes currently playing...
I would link the other two's 'Grams, but my internet doesn't like me attempting to do that, right now, apparently, lol.
Pretty easy Google search though.
But anyway, this is unironically a big part of why I watch NRLW.
Somewhat like the Lingerie League, but more skilled. In fact, some of the older NRLW players used to take part in that, before the NRLW really took off over here.
Side note, that Insta link is, uhh, surprisingly "NSFW"...
Or rather, let's just say... I wouldn't open it on an office computer with other people standing around, lol.
It's not porn. It's just lots of slo-mo gym bunny shots, lol. I didn't initially notice, when I posted it!
It's telling that the first bit of text in an article about womens basketball is "how to watch"
That "star-studded" Aces roster contained zero names that I'm familiar with.
I haven't watched an NBA game since 2016 and yet I still know the new big names just due to random exposures.
