Tom Cotton op-ed was the one that simply said rioting and looting is bad right?

Yes, the piece where hundreds of 'journalists' said that running it put black New York Times employees in danger. Presumably because they were rioting and looting...

I lost a white friend who was on the left during that time. He kept posting blm stuff and I asked him why he didn’t give a damn about the numerous black kids who are killed every weekend since he cares so much about blacks. Final straw was when I told him he just wants to be trendy by celebrating criminals. If he really cared he would’ve called out the rioting and the scumbag rioters

He cared about his social brownie points, which is why he disowned you. His loss.

Thanks. It still annoys me today that all that destruction was cheered on by the media and corporations all for a criminal. Only for the media to act like Jan 6 was the end of the universe

Don't forget that they are not bound by logic, like you are. They just spew propaganda to make themselves look good and to make others look bad, and their drones repeat what they are told to believe.

The deadly insurrection at the Capitol!

Expecting leftists to have standards is a mistake.

The only thing they care about is if you're with them or against them.

True. I guess I thought he was too smart to go along with blm nonsense

As the black guy said, it's so dangerous every time he goes outside his door. I guess a riot and a regular day in NY are the same to him.

There's lots of juicy stuff in there, hard to quote it all.

And sometimes the bias was explicit: one newsroom editor told me that, because I was publishing more conservatives, he felt he needed to push his own department further to the left.

The Times’s failure to honour its own stated principles of openness to a range of views was particularly hard on the handful of conservative writers, some of whom would complain about being flyspecked and abused by colleagues. One day when I relayed a conservative’s concern about double standards to [publisher A.G.] Sulzberger, he lost his patience. He told me to inform the complaining conservative that that’s just how it was: there was a double standard and he should get used to it. A publication that promises its readers to stand apart from politics should not have different standards for different writers based on their politics. But I delivered the message. There are many things I regret about my tenure as editorial-page editor. That is the only act of which I am ashamed.

Not shocking, Sulzberger was the notorious POS that was caught buying clicks from India and China to boost advertising revenue and when caught just screamed Trump and made NYT pay locked

Surprisingly, the piece also quotes the guy's father as saying some decent stuff.

This last fact was of particular concern to the elder Sulzberger. He told me the Times needed more conservative voices, and that its own editorial line had become predictably left-wing. “Too many liberals,” read my notes about the Opinion line-up from a meeting I had with him and Mark Thompson, then the chief executive, as I was preparing to rejoin the paper. “Even conservatives are liberals’ idea of a conservative.” The last note I took from that meeting was: “Can’t ignore 150m conservative Americans.”

If they only caught the Indian and Chinese clicks, they missed more.

Americans are paid for prime clicks with our non vpn residential IPs.

Looks like wayback nuked the link. Not surprising, since Lorenz's uncle runs the site.

"It's just an opinion piece, bro. It doesn't represent the paper as a whole, bro. They still report the news without bias, bro."

If opinion pieces aren't safe from the thought police, what makes you think the rest of the paper isn't compromised?
