I’m so sick of this idea that things like kindness and compassion are woke

I think there's a default amongst both the left and certain parts the right to regard kindness and empathy as feminine traits. This makes leftists feel all superior, because they think they're being feminist or empowering women by engaging in their performative altruism, while some in the manosphere tend to dismiss those qualities as unmasculine. Peterson at least simply acknowledges that men feel and express empathy and kindness in different ways than women do.

I've always been told (and first hand experience confirms it for me) that men want to solve problems, women just want to bitch.

So in general, men focus on getting shit done and moving on, women would rather sit around and cry together about an issue.

Women evolved to be communal, as females in primate social groups would always stick together while the males were out hunting and gathering, so they are genetically predisposed to lean on each other for emotional support, and often that can lead to a sort of circular cry-n-hug that never goes anywhere. Men evolved to internalize our emotional responses, and to deal with fear or loss by focusing on the next task, because that was how males survived trauma while off on their own.

It may sound odd coming from someone who, admittedly, doesn't have a high opinion of women, but their way of dealing with emotional stress is understandable from an evolutionary standpoint. The problem is that their inherent solipsism predisposes them to think that because men don't experience or express emotions in the same way they do, that that means there's something wrong with us. And feminism has enabled the psychology and therapy industry to pathologize male ways of emoting, while elevating women's ways of emoting to be the standard of what is normal.

You can see that with politics too. Now that women are ubiquitous in politics, nothing is accomplished and self-righteous moral grandstanding is at an all-time high.

If only nothing got accomplished. Instead, we get fucked even more.

Interaction with the left has taught me that both sides define kindness differently.

The right sees it in the traditional, conventional way. Being polite, offering to help, respecting life and boundaries, etc.

The left sees kindness on their own terms in order of their priorities, a kind of collective usefulness as they envision it. Making each other comfortable, donating to causes, standing in solidarity, even correcting each other. The flaw is that their position on being kind requires an antagonist to contrast. They tend to feed off of the position of whatever group they're seeing as virtuous rather than the context of a simple person to person encounter. They defer to the group for judgment on what virtue is, and they'll carry that with them.

This is why kind seeming little old ladies will still spit in your sandwich if they overhear you mention words they don't like, and they'll feel justified doing it.

I also see it as a framing tactic used by the left a lot of the time online as well. There seems to be a consistent portrayal of anyone on the right as an inhumane, cartoon-ish monster nazi. Easier to hate someone that you are able to visualize as non-human or evil.

kindness and empathy as feminine traits.

Wait until they find out about how women fight. The most evil shit I hear about is usually a woman trying to destroy a man/other woman's life with gossip, lies, framing, accusations, etc. At least when men are evil it isn't subtle so everyone can see it.

Kindness and compassion? I just mean that these people seem to associate “wokeness” with everything good they do. I’m sure this guy is the typical leftist who thinks “free stuff” due to higher taxes is compassion. Like the ones who voted for Bernie saying that makes them kind

Let's say, then, "people who don't understand how these things can be carried too far".

Kindness, for example, can be extremely dangerous.

If you are in a relationship with a narcisist or sociopath, kindness will be the lever they control you with.

On the other hand, kindness can become overbearing and patronizing when you decide someone else "needs" help and you know exactly what help they need.

Anything taken too far can be "woke." I'd argue that taking things too far should be a large part of the definition of woke.

Treating minorities well because you treat everyone well is not woke. Treating minorities well because you think they're superior to whites is woke.

Believing women and asking for evidence of their claims is not woke. Believing women and ignoring evidence to the contrary is woke.

I respectively disagree with your take. Woke at its' core is Anti-White, Anti-male, Anti-heterosexual, Anti-Christian, Anti-American, and Anti-Western civilization.

"Wokeness" or "Wokeshevism" as I like to call it, comes from the Frankfurt School's Cultural Marxism. They thought the best way to make American society & Western society open to Communism was to tear down the social safe guards of Whites, men, Christianity, and Heterosexual relationships but especially families.

These social safe guards built American society & Western society, and thus built the resistance to Communism's specific parasitic & totalitarian nature, this is why Wokesheviks want to tear them down.

They love it when people mistake their ideology & policies for good intentions gone too far.

I mean I can’t argue with the point about Marxism and it does hate what is traditional.

Frankfurt School

It's honestly amazing how many insanely damaging philosophers came out of Germany and France during the same century long period. The Greeks had nothing close to the amount of damage that came from their philosophers over their entire history, yet the Frankfurt School, the Young Hegelians, etc. have destroyed so many lives and poisoned so many minds, it's shocking.

Hes probably one of those miserable cucks who thinks kindness means being a doormat.

That's how they push their insanity and perversions. They cloak it in "being nice" and "being a good person". Aka weak and letting people do whatever they want.
