AFAIK eye damage due to UVC exposure is only temporary.
BigClive might have found the source of the UVC light: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DlfLthx89E Looks like it was only in some themed room which would explain why it only affected a small percentage of attendees.
Curious what indication there is of "permanent blindness". My understanding was these lights damage your eyes similar to looking at the light from an arc welder: they blister up, and it's supposedly extremely painful, but they do heal after a few days.
lol shocker, I'm not someone who boo boos the idea of night clubs and tries to be a karen about people having fun. However there are way more problems with venues like music festivals and night clubs when it comes to straightforward health and safety that anyone can agree with.
I remember looking this up out of curiosity and quite a lot of people are posting up openly about some of the shit going on with the amount of light and loud noise you're exposed to. I bet there are regular attendees who are probably exhibiting far worse symptoms of going temporarily deaf etc. from how loud it all is without even realising it because they're not informed enough. Allegedly, you have long term workers doing things like wearing ear plugs etc. for safety so they don't go deaf from it all. Just found this quite interesting back in the day so I thought I'd drop a bit of info here.
There are safe UV tubes (near-violet UVA) and germicidal UV tubes (more energetic UVC). China being China, someone used the latter for decoration when they should only use the former.
Atlas is shrugging

Funnily enough, the same thing happened a few years ago in the same city.

They're NFT owners. Of course they're gonna exaggerate.
Ugh arc burn sucks ass. Imagine the inside of your eyelids are made of 80 grit sandpaper

UVC tubes look pretty.
