Female protagonist, extremely skilled, physically different/minority in a veritable ethnostate, double amputee sidekick, typical monotone + emotionless VA who's mixed race IRL, like the main character. It's allegedly highly rated by both critics and audience, and I've watched the first 10 minutes. Should I keep going or am I doomed to SJW insufferability if I stick with this?

Apparently.
Oh, fuck me. Glad I stopped when I did. Thanks man.
Edit: That's just based off one review, sadly. I think I'll avoid this show for now anyway.
The one review said enough: A lesbian samurai goes around besting men during edo-Japan.... does that really sound not-woke to you?
In my experience the reviews there are either accurate or somewhat forgiving of wokeness where it exists, so if a review says it's very woke it's almost certainly woke af.
they really went and named main character foreskin lmao

Every Single Time
Oh and she's not just a minority she's a "poor discriminated against minority" in Japan
She?
It's from Netfix, first red flag.
But a good trick, is always searching interviews of actors, directors, and writers, they always talk about how woke they are and how woke is their bullshit.
Here is what i got with a quick search on the writers

The entire plot is about killing 4 white men, and of course the Michael Green guy, it's part of the small hat tribe, lmao
Lol so its about a mixed race person discriminated against by the Japanese for being mixed and also about killing White people. So its anti White and anti Japanese at the same time
Well, they put a chick in it and most likely made or will make her gay. So...
And lame
George Takei is still alive?
We've made big advancements in HIV management.
Oh my.
Guys. If it’s on Netflix, and it’s not an old movie they just happen to be hosting, they've like contractually obligated the creators to make it woke. This isn’t a conspiracy. You’re only hope for a non-woke narrative is if it’s made by foreign people with an all foreign cast… and even then it’s unlikely.
Just play Nioh instead.
