Jesus christ, how fucked up is it that the media in the country that was attacked is less censored about the attack than the US media and social media.
The current government is fairly conservative, and I believe Times of Israel is a leftoid rag. I can't help but wonder if they'd publish this if Ehud Barak was the PM.
It's not unheard of for detainee abuse to mostly occur by captors and not the actual prison-keepers. She wasn't raped and killed because she was a hostage. There's value in keeping hostages alive. It's entirely possible her claims (or the paper's claims) are true.
Lmfao, who tf is reporting the Times of Israel for falsehoods on this story?
And what do you mean by “you need some explanation”? - from me, from the person who reported the post, or from the ToI for running the story?
If you look into this woman, she has actually spent decades trying to help the Palestinians, she’s a true believer that israel are the bad guys in this whole situation.
Yeah, you won’t get it I’m sure, as the report was just an attempt to squelch anything contrary to the “palestine deserves to be glassed” narrative that the zionists are peddling.
Thanks for being so level headed on this subject by the way. I think you’ve managed to keep this forum far healthier than other places on this site, and not just on this subject either.
So... The kidnappers were abusive, but the don who ordered it was in a sufficient position of power over cowed and abused captives that he didn't need to be further abusive, and this is an indictator of goodness. Sigh, war is hell, and war reporters are just the imps stoking the flames.
One of my telegram feeds had the video with her speaking recounting the incident. She said the captures had all the things a woman would need to be comfortable including shampoo and conditioner. She said they seemed well-prepared and treated her kindly.
To be fair, it’s most likely Stockholm syndrome/hybristophilia. Being a hostage was probably the most exciting thing that granny experienced in 30 years. kek

Obviously not. The left has no allegiance other than to the left.
My underatanding is that there is serious opposition to Bibi over attempted constitutional changes; maybe they're political opponents?
Is ToI anti-Netanhayu? I know Haaretz is (being a Progressive rag) but my impression of ToI was that it was quite nationalist.
Not in the slightest. ToI was outright lying on a daily basis when the government tried to reign in the judiciary's coup.
So a stereotypical Jewish mother?
They’re subverting themselves now!?
Always have been 🧑🚀🔫
They just can help themselves, lol
No wonder they can never have their own nation for long.
If they just stopped acting like literal notsees I feel like things would improve tremendously.
I suppose that’s what happens when you let something become your raison dêtre
Post Reported for: Rule 12 - Falsehoods
I need some explanation why.

I need more explanation from the reporter. Or at least some comments elsewhere.
I'm sure the Times of Israel could still be posting intentional disinformation, but I need to see why I should think that.

Yeah, this is one of the better places, maybe on the entire internet, for political discussion.

Send Lich Queen Vlaakith back to hamas
Her husband is still a hostage, it's completely believable that she's trying to keep him alive.

Go look the woman up, she’s a lifelong fighter for Palestinian rights
My point still stands.
What a FOOKIN NOTZEE!!!!
