Er, why ARE they getting directly involved? Seriously this ain't even close to Ukraine. Israel can glass Gaza by itself easy if they adopt the same policy of Hamas of 'they all voted in their leaders so they aren't civilians'
Which not to be a cold hearted bastard (which I am) but kinda hope happens. The two state system has failed and doesn't work when one side literally calls for the genocide of your people (which are unarmed, seriously, they should have as many guns per citizen as Switzerland given everyone who surrounds them wants them dead). So just finish for good now so it's finished.
The US getting directly involved in anyway seems like standard Biden administration overreaction after a fuck up that probably makes everything worse.
I don't. Europe has got enough "refugees". We don't need even more.
There's a solution for that.
Shoot them when they start invading, and deport via helicopter the ones already in the west.
With what?
Witty retorts about healthcare, of course.
The number of refugees that Europe accepts has clearly nothing to do with war an armed conflict, which is why so many are coming from fucking Albania.
They're getting involved because the Israeli's are getting their asses handed to them. Sure they could glass Gaza, but they're not just in Gaza they're running roughshod over the while country. They've hit fuel depots, radar sites, military and naval bases and I've seen they've even been hitting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem today. Hezbollah will probably be involved as well from the North as soon as the Gaza ground operation starts.
I don't see this as an overreaction, the Israeli's were completely caught with their pants down yesterday.
Hezbollah are unlikely to unless the entire state joins them. There's a massive elephant in the room that puts a HUGE question mark on if others will join in:
ISIS
That was not that long ago and sucked up a LOT of resources and manpower, then Trump became president and they were systematically eradicated. There's still cells here and there don't get me wrong, but that soaked up a lot of manpower and resources that they might not be able to commit to another operation especially if Israel is going to lash out hard to prove a point.
Plus how much does Hamas and Hezbollah get along as a lit of infighting happens between these groups that they might be fine seeing them elimated as a regional power.
Yeah, not really.
For the most part, this is Hamas being ultra-aggressive, but mostly just doing more of what they've always done: shootings, bombings, rocketings. "getting asses handed to them" isn't even close. This is not the Battle Of The Sinai
Gaza is like 15x20km. I don't think you want to drop any kind of nuke on it if you are around there.
I didn't mean nukes, I meant either old school bombardment by either artillery or bomber planes (if Israel has any not just jets) and just keep going till it's all rubble.
A lot of the issues we have nowadays is because we don't fully commit to a war and only do half measures, if you in a war, commit and ensure total victory.
To play devils advocate, a ton of Americans were killed at that music festival that was happening over there. So going and parking a carrier off the shore could stand as a show of force.
Now that is not to say I know which way this goes. But I still lean toward us staying out of it outside of our typical current levels. But it is a possibility.
There's a video going around of a white woman with dreads, stripped naked dead after clearly being raped in the back of a truck being stomped on by terrorists.
Some people did some digging and found out she may be a German national on a holiday there. This is clearly an international attack given all the victims, so while you got the 'victim class refugees' cheering in the streets about it, a lot of western countries could be convinced to say nothing, look the other way as Gaza starts hearing mass artillery fire incoming..
I watched the same video. Where's the rape?
was it the one with the israeli passport they are trying to pass around as german sympathy-bait?
And for all of the talk about how this is about derailing the Saudi-Israel deal that was in the works, I dont imagine the Saudis are going to do too much since they have never really cared for Hamas (what with them being backed by Iran and all that).
Hell, if anything they may take an attitude of "If you agree to look the other way (or even help) if/when we go kick the Iranians ass, we will keep our mouth shut as you go be the 800 lbs gorilla rampaging through Gaza."
Sure, you have Leftist trying to give their usual apologia toward Hamas. But for the vast majority of normal people, I think they crossed some lines and made a lot of people willing to let Israel do whatever it wanted.
Yeah it's hard for non-islamists to continue to accept the propaganda that ISRAEL REAL BAD GUY when they videos like that.
It was a lot easier when those apes stuck to military targets, but they just can't help themselves.
Where are we seeing these videos at? I only have a couple sources, and unfortunately one of them is the heavy US-propaganda subverted r/combatfootage
Internal American and Israeli politics. Lots of Israeli and jewish donors could put money to one campaign or another (though typically they give money to Democrats). Netanyahu's coalition has friends with the Trump campaign, and the State Department is currently aiding efforts to depose Netanyahu.
