Don't know One Piece, but the original creator was significantly involved, and had to agree with every decision, based on the Bounding into Comics article titles. I have not read the articles, but maybe they stuck to the source material this time.

I started watching it in 2020 until I caught up to present. It's good. The beginning looks a bit dated though.
