Didn't she fully embrace the nonsense at the time? This sounds like damage control to me.
It’s full-on revisionism/gaslighting. She was 100% invested in the feminist narrative surrounding her film.
Incidentally, I thought she was super hot in her prime. Like most hot Hollywood girls, she immediately pivoted to feminist grifting when she aged out of leading lady roles.
That’s what I remember
The previous films had hot women fighting, in some quite sexy clothes at times and comedy at the right times
Your film had so so attractive women and from what I heard, was more preachy, less good jokes and the fighting was too unbelievable. That's why your version flopped.
Yeah, she can complain about the media bombing the movie all she wants, but their message wasn’t too far from the “men are stupid and evil” theme if the movie. And it sucked, anyway.
She gave that narrative away herself. Enthousiastically. She thought it would fly at the time, and the media was happy to amplify her message. But it was her message.
There's more than enough video of her at the time saying all the same feminist nonsense that she says was the media's narrative. It was her's.
She's a liar that doesn't want to own her own failure.
It was an action-comedy?
But the media couldn't even talk about Cocaine Bear, and that was a success. I don't think people like Kristen Stewart, and she's the star of the movie. Men don't like her, women seem to absolutely hate her. I also don't think that women go to see action movies.
Furthermore, I assume the studio knew they had a bad movie, because they didn't promote it. I see Barbie + Oppenheimer everywhere.
TIL they made a Cocaine Bear movie.
The meme was fun.
Elizabeth Banks was one of the producers on Cocaine Bear.
The meme is great because any animal with snow on its face can do it. The movie is about the real life story of a bear that ate cocaine. The movie is a pile of steaming garbage because the true story is it ate coke and died a few hours later.
The real story about the bear is less glamorous. Bear was found dead in a pile of coke bricks that had been thrown out of a plane. Then a body was found of the coke smuggler.
Holy shit, this is probably the most blatant lying and gaslighting I've seen coming from a hollywood piece of shit like her. The gall on this bitch...
That woman must be extremely manipulative in her personal life, so much that she's gotten simply too comfortable with lying.
It felt so bizarre to read this, that I just had to look up some interview of hers, just to make sure I remembered it right.

"Women don't walk into the room and immediately start fighting, we need to use strategies in our lives to avoid fighting "
"...I think men need to see more action movies starring women"
"These women have been underestimated all their lives, it's kinda like their super power".
That's like in the first minute of the interview.
The good thing about weathervanes is they'll tell you when the wind is shifting. That's all they're useful for.
This narcissistic cunt thinks feminism is played out as a marketing strategy. I'd like to believe it's true, but I think it's much more likely she just failed to rationalize her failure as a misogyny thing and needs to pivot to maintain her self-image.
I do like that she feels like she can benefit from saying this, though. She may be wrong, in which case another pawn of the enemy is off the board, or she may be right, and others will begin to more vocally reject the feminist message, and reject it sooner.
Maybe don't make shit films.
And you're nowhere near as good as Peter Tomarken, either.
Someone saw that Barbie money and is losing their mind
She thinks she's way more talented than she really is.
She's just a hot blonde, and even at her peak, was never close to being THE face.
I'm pretty sure she's gonna be perpetually salty because she knows all she's got is the sexy blond things and even that didn't go so well for her (since her first breakout role was after 30 she pretty much missed out on it)
I remember that movie, that's when they killed Captain Picard.
